Progreso is a development in harmony with nature-

Humanity has the possibility of a type of development that promotes physical and mental health and happiness of people and deserves to be called progress, it is a development in harmony with the forces of nature, coexisting with forests, rivers, mountains, meadows and deserts, in a relationship of affection and respect with the animals and plants that live in the regions from which they originate.

We should not call "progress" anything that is different from what was before, but only new things that are as good as before or better, if we are to retain the meaning that progress is a good thing and therefore desirable. But this word progress is one of the most used in the propaganda of the projects of people who already have a lot of power and fortune and want more, but do not take into account whether what they are doing is correct. It is seen that these reflections are very rare, and that is causing possible catastrophic damage to all forms of life, this means that the human being is also attacked, because, even if we are industrial or economic or political beings, first we are beings living. And that is why "Everything that happens to animals and plants will happen to humans. The human being did not make the fabric of life, it is a thread of that fabric. Everything he does to Earth will do it to itself. "

I am going to give some examples of activities in which it is necessary to take these things into account so that the results are good. If these considerations are not taken into account, it is almost infallible that the results will be terrible for all of us, even if some increase their fortunes or feel very satisfied and proud of their "works".

1) Some harmful results of overbuilding. When a land is covered by a building, it no longer absorbs rainwater. This increases and worsens the floods: it floods more often, faster, deeper and longer and with little rain, affecting an entire area. This is direct, indisputable, it is not necessary to investigate to see and understand it.
If you continue building without limits, no matter how many drainage pipes and reservoirs are made, at some point they will not be enough, just as there will be worse and worse floods. And those works are very expensive and cause a lot of problems, especially if they are part of the largest plan in the world. People who live in areas with too much building get used to being enclosed by cement and bricks, it seems normal, natural. Many develop hatred or disgust or fear of the earth, trees and other plants, "bugs", or it seems to them that all this is "ugly" or dirty, dangerous or boring. Then they themselves in one way or another push or accept to build even more, making things worse. And these people develop misconceptions about what the world is like and what life is like. This makes the harmonious development of which I spoke at the beginning of this note impossible or very difficult. Even the best house, if you never get out, is a prison. Even the best city, even the best invention, is a tyrant if it absorbs, for whatever reason, too much of people's existence. For all these reasons and many others, it is necessary that in cities and in all places where people live there should be enough land with natural landscapes and wild animals, without being covered with cement.

2) The idea of filling the whole country with roads and highways. We all understand that everything is good in the right amount and place. Anything in too much quantity and the wrong place gives bad results. Therefore, it is not always good to make roads. Above all, in uninhabited or sparsely inhabited areas, the roads are a guarantee that many more people will go unchecked to kill animals, settle down, cut trees, cause fires and litter, destroying and ruining more and more the zone, as happens in Brazil, Venezuela and other countries where roads were made in wild regions. All these things can be prevented at no cost and in a simple way: by intentionally maintaining areas with no routes, only with walking paths.

This is done in the Netherlands, the United States and other countries. This can prevent huge areas from being ruined. We all understand that it cannot be good for highways to go through theaters, churches or museums. By the same logic, there are areas that should be left without roads. So it is impossible for too many people to go, and above all it is important that mostly those who have enough interest (and therefore respect) for nature to accept the discomfort that not being able to go in vehicles can cause them. When too many people go to a place, inevitably more of those who do not take care of doing harm go, and even the careful ones harm if there are too many, by being and moving.

Highways can cause and worsen floods a lot, such as the misnamed "good" air highway (it should be called the highway - bad smell dam), which caused terrible floods that were also of water contaminated with microbes and decomposed and toxic substances from of the trash buried in what should rightly be called the anti-environmental belt. The individual who shaped this catastrophic initiative has already been observed twice on television, proposing to fill the country with highways, saying that they are sources of work and that they would plant millions of trees.

It is not known if they intend to respect the natural landscape or kill everything in the places where they would plant those trees, as is almost always done in Argentina. And you have to realize that, for something to be good, it is not enough that it be a "source of work" or "good business" (which is often the true and only reason for doing something); It has to be something that gives good results, that makes it possible to maintain this wonderful world in the best possible way.
