Thunderjet Main Gear Late

There were two types or main landing gear used on the "late," D/E/G-model, Thunderjets. One type was the Bendix, which uses the "closed" ribbed wheel, and the other type is Electrol which uses the "open" steel disk wheel. Both used a mechanical mechanism to shrink the struts upon retraction of the gear.
