The Vice President of the Republic, Oscar Ortiz, together with representatives of the company NEOEN El Salvador, inaugurated the largest solar plant in Central America.
“The largest concentrated investment in Central America with more than 150 million dollars. 500 jobs are created, ”said the vice president of El Salvador.
The plant is located 40 km south of San Salvador and is equipped with 320,000 Trina Solar modules on a fixed structure.
The also called Photovoltaic Park of El Salvador will have the capacity to produce energy to supply some 200,000 homes with the production of 101 Megawatts of power.
The Photovoltaic Park, located in the department of La Paz, is a great step forward in renewable energy.
Providencia Solar is the first industrial-size solar plant in El Salvador.
