When we speak of propaganda, its discredit immediately comes to mind for serving as a tool for authoritarian regimes; as for example, the incessant repetition of the lie until it becomes the truth (as Goebbels said), followed by the complicity of powerful media. It is a manipulative process that makes us vulnerable to head washing without our realizing it.
But this also developed in democracy. Despite our intellectual training, propaganda can have its effects on us. To maintain their status quo, the concentrated sectors of power use all possible resources, and the media are one of their tools to consolidate their privileged situation.
