Cities in Poland with free public transport to curb pollution

Poland is one of the most polluted countries in Europe. In fact, this nation has 33 of the 50 most polluted cities on the Old Continent.

Precisely, due to high levels of pollution, two cities: Warsaw and Krakow offer free public transport on Monday in order to reduce the use of private vehicles.

In addition, the authorities recommend that in this situation, the anions and children go out as little as possible.

According to the Efe agency, the Central European country usually exceeds the pollution limits accepted by the European Union; particularly due to the dependence that exists on fossil fuels and the lack of serious policies implemented by the government of that country.

An example: last weekend, in Skala, in southern Poland, about a thousand micrograms of air pollutants were detected per cubic meter of air, which exceeds the 737 recorded in Beijing and is almost 20 times higher than establishes the European Union.
