Supermarkets of the City of Buenos Aires will stop delivering plastic bags

The Ministry of Environment and Public Space of the City recalls that as of today, Sunday, January 1, Chinese supermarkets, hypermarkets, supermarkets and supermarkets will stop delivering light plastic bags in the checkout lines. The residents of the City must carry their bags or monkeys when shopping to transport their products.

"We know that this type of bags pollutes water, covers drains and affects flora and fauna. We are accompanying the neighbors in this great cultural change, so that we can all enjoy a cleaner and greener city," said Eduardo Macchiavelli, Minister of Environment and Public Space of the City.

Since September, the city distributed more than 500 thousand eco-bags to residents in different squares and parks.
