In this way, the work of the Research Project based in the Faculty (winner of the INNOVAR award, among other recognitions) will be applied for the first time in Argentine waters, where it is expected that it will contribute to obtaining electricity from the reconversion of the mechanical energy generated by the movement of ocean waves.

On behalf of the Undimotriz Energy Project of the UTN Buenos Aires, the project director, Eng. Mario Pelissero; its co-director Mg. Alexander Haim; and the Ings. Néstor Ferré and Jorge Pereda. On behalf of the Port of Quequén, the Chief of Operations, Fabio Herrero, and Ing. Pedro Ganga, Technical Coordinator, were present.

As part of the issues related to the operational improvements of the port, Ing. Ganga announced that in the next few months an oligraph will be put into operation again. This equipment is intended to perform measurements of marine conditions in the vicinity of the breakwater. It is thus a vital instrument for adjusting the location and design of the device.

Subsequently, the work team went together with Eng. Pereda to the breakwater in order to carry out a survey of it and thus be able to choose the most suitable place for the installation of the platform for the capture device.
