5 steps to meditate at home

Next we will see how to meditate at home following 5 simple steps, this is just one of the many ways that exist to meditate correctly and it is really so simple that it can be easily done by setting aside a few minutes a day for practice.

HERE ARE SOME STEPS THAT CAN BE FOLLOWED TO PRACTICE MEDITATION FROM HOME, OR FROM ANY PLACE THAT IS SUITABLE FOR PRACTICE ...

  • Find a quiet place where you can meditate. You can have a special room for meditation, or you can also meditate in your own room or even in the garden. Just make sure the place you choose is clean and tidy, as the surroundings have a direct effect on meditation, unless you are at a fairly advanced level.
  • SecondlyChoose a good time to meditate and make sure you always meditate at the same time. Usually the ideal time for meditation is early in the morning and in the evening hours, before going to sleep. In this way, you can meditate without discomfort or interruption. Before meditating, prepare the elements to be used in meditation, if applicable. It's also good to make sure that anything that might distract us from practice, like cell phones, are turned off or not in the same room.
  • Third placer and after everything is prepared, it is time to start meditating in the correct position.

There are usually several positions to get into the correct state.

The best to start with is to sit in a chair with your spine straight and in a comfortable position, then there is the classic lotus position sitting / or on the floor, on a pillow comfortably with your legs crossed or you can even meditate in the position of lie on your back.

If you are just starting to meditate, make sure you take the sitting position as most beginners fall asleep while meditating in the lying position and the lotus position is usually somewhat uncomfortable if you are starting out.

Make sure you feel comfortable with your position, because you will be in that same position for several minutes.

  • After this, you can start meditating by closing your eyes.

Focus on your breathing by inhaling slowly through your nose, and calmly releasing the air through your nose as well.

It is advisable to do this for about 20 minutes.

  • While we do this meditation, the mind is attentive to each inhalation and each exhalation, without making any greater effort, if we do the exercise well our mind will enter a state of relaxed and natural calm, which we can call a meditative state.

This particular meditation helps to improve attention and makes it easier to have an increasingly clear, calm and obedient mind, which will also make it easier to solve the various issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.

It is possible that in this meditative practice your mind drifts with any other thought.

When this happens you should just observe the thought without getting involved with it.

Just as if you were watching a fish pass in the ocean, just watch how the thought crosses the enormous ocean of your mind without altering its state, you will see how over time it becomes easier to enter the correct state.

Meditation can be as long as you like, it is worth saying that the deeper the meditation the more benefits it can bring to your life.

However, a few minutes a day are enough to begin to perceive greater mental clarity, general well-being and better energy levels.
