Now Shell is lonelier than ever, but is moving fast to be able to drill into the fragile Arctic waters next year. If their plans go ahead, it is only a matter of time before an oil spill occurs in the Arctic. We have to act fast to protect it
The good news is that we too are a little closer to achieving Arctic protection. It is a race in time, and we know we can win it. We already have more than 6 million signatures, we have taken the petition to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, and many countries and international organizations are changing their attitude and are beginning to be aware of the global need to defend the Arctic.
The Lego ad is important because it is a clear message to other brands that partnering with certain companies is too toxic. People are not going to accept it. We will continue to work so that the interests of a few do not take priority over the protection of this key environment on which we all depend.
