Poor countries alone in the face of climate change

The report reveals that, since 2008, international funds for climate change have mostly gone to middle-income countries, such as Mexico, to reduce their CO2 emissions (the main causes of climate change), rather than help the poorest to adapt to the impacts of climate change.

These funds were just $ 130 million a year for all of sub-Saharan Africa, well below the $ 1.1 million that Great Britain spent on its flood defenses three years ago, for example.
